Oracles are wisdom keepers that have information about the future, past or present. They can be cards, a person, or some other vessel of communication. Oracle cards, then, are cards that have messages for you. Angel cards typically have a message for you, although they can also include feelings, images, or comfort that may not specifically be a message. Most angel cards are oracle cards – but not all oracle cards are angel cards.
Every angel oracle card deck has a specific set of imagery, intentions, and messages built inside of them. Always choose the deck that resonates with you. You can actually feel it in your heart or hands when it’s aligned with you.
Most people use angel oracle cards to gain clarity, comfort, or messages.
We often seek clarity when we are confused, don’t know what step to take, or need help making a decision. They can help us get rid of noise and confusion and focus more clearly on the path we’re meant to take.
We may yearn for comfort when we are missing a loved one, feeling sad, or disconnected. Comfort can come through the angel cards or a direct angelic message.
The cards have 3 ways to communicate messages: images, words, and energy. All 3 can be used to relay messages to you and they may all speak in different ways. It becomes easier to decode or interpret when you start looking at all three. You may just need to hold the card in your hand to feel its energy. Focusing on the imagery and what it brings up or reminds you of, this may be how a message is relayed. And of course, reading the text on the card or in the booklet included with the angel deck you are using is the final way to absorb what the card is telling you.
You can consult angel oracle cards about anything!
The sky’s the limit! I have friends who use it for their businesses, relationships, spiritual life, decision making, aligning to a new situation, gaining comfort…. Anything. There really, truly is nothing you can’t use an oracle card for.
That said, it’s a waste of energy for both you and your angels to ask questions that really have no consequence. If you’re consulting your cards for superficial questions like “What should I have for dinner tonight?”, you may be devaluing them and the guidance they provide. Remember that you have to decode angel cards, so if you’re having trouble making decisions and you consult them continually for minor matters, you may end up inadvertently magnifying your frustrations and inability to make forward progress.
Oracle cards can be fun, but you will always get a serious answer.
Creating Your Own Oracle Card Deck
There are lots of pre-made decks available to you which may absolutely meet your needs. A quick internet search will yield you lots of options to choose from. (Consider avoiding those made by Doreen Virtue who has denounced her own angel cards in recent years.)
