I had a game that I played called ‘Feeling Anxious’. It’s a game where I had a general feeling in my body that made me stay in bed too long, play computer games and withdraw from people.
It’s a ‘way of being’ game that I have played much of my life. I have calmed it down at some points. However, my anxiety flares up when I’m called to put something bigger into the world.
Like now. It seems the whole world is upgrading at the moment, and I have a BIG calling. It would be easy for me to go back to that old game. I was asking myself, ‘How much longer will I play this game?’
But I’m ready for a new game, so that requires new rules and new ways to WIN.
Step one in Game-Changing… I needed to turn off the old game.
That means connecting more regularly to my Higher Self (the God Spark, My Intuition, Love) and acting out of that calling. Upping my practices to the new game. Getting proficient at that game so I don’t get ‘killed’ on level 1. (I watched “Jumanji: The Next Level” this weekend. I love the scenes where they ‘inadvertently’ lose one of their lives and then need to figure out how to make it through the level!)
I’ve been doing that a lot this month, upping my game-changing practices and figuring out how to ‘survive’ this level. I am feeling excited, turned on, and quite fearless and competent as a result.
That takes me to Step two in Game-Changing: doing the challenging thing that feels (or felt) inspired.
I love dreams and dream quests. Each night before I go to sleep, I think of something that I loved about the day, something that I’m looking forward to tomorrow, and what I want to dream about that night.
On Saturday, I set my dream intention as “Tell me what I need to know about the current world situation”.
I had a dream and it was one of those ‘epic-memorable’ dreams.
In the dream, I was doing a puzzle (one of my favorite self-care activities). It was all done, but I was missing a piece!
Spirit handed me the piece and it was a Red Dragon piece. The music started to play in my house, and I heard the song, “Dance me to the Heart of Love”. (That’s not the title, but it was in the dream!) In that song, I heard the lyric, “Dance me to the dark side of the moon.” I woke up feeling electrified, like something BIG was happening.
Before you go into full-on dream analysis (or as my husband likes to ask, what did you eat the night before?!?), here is what flowed as the meaning:
- The dragon is the symbol of untamed nature and is a call to wisdom, strength and hidden knowledge.
- The moon is the same on all sides – it is simply lightened when it faces the sun. When we stay in the Heart of LOVE, we can experience the sameness of our world in the light and dark.
This had me look at the world situation and my business in the same imagery. As a Game-Changer, I possess hidden knowledge, and it’s time to be strong and wise and share it with those who desire it. My hidden knowledge also calls me to do that with the LOVE and courage necessary when it looks like we are on the dark side of the moon.
My original game of being anxious no longer has a pull or need in my world. It’s time to level-up in LOVE!
